Hello everyone, I'm Lin Xiaoqing, welcome to watch this video on wine learning.

In the previous video, we introduced several common bottle openers. Among them, the seahorse knife, known as the "friend of waiters", is not only small and beautiful in appearance, but also easy to carry and easy to use. In this video, we will show you how to use a seahorse knife to open a bottle.

The seahorse knife is shaped like a seahorse and consists of a serrated knife, a spiral cone, a handle and a movable arm with 1-2 bayonets.

When opening the bottle with a seahorse knife, you need to open the serrated knife first and cut off the bottle seal. Along the lower edge of the circular protruding part of the bottle mouth, cut clockwise and counterclockwise half a circle, and then use the tip of the knife to cut upwards perpendicular to the cut mouth, and then the bottle seal can be removed. If the bottle seal is made of metal, be careful when cutting to prevent sharp edges from cutting your fingers.

After removing the cap, wipe the mouth of the bottle clean with a table cloth or paper towel before proceeding to the next step - removing the cork.

First, you need to align the tip of the spiral cone with the center of the cork and dig into the cork. In order to avoid skewed drilling, the spiral cone can be inclined to an angle of about 45° with the top plane of the cork, and the spiral cone can be gradually erected during the drilling process. If the drill is skewed, the cork is likely to break during subsequent operations.

In the second step, after the screw cone is inserted into the cork, slowly screw the cork clockwise, and stop rotating when there is almost one spiral ring left. If the screw cone is screwed directly to the end, the cork may be worn out penetrating, causing sawdust to fall into the wine.

The third step is to buckle the first-level bayonet of the movable arm to the bottle mouth, fix the bayonet with one hand, hold the handle with the other hand, and use the lever principle to lift the cork. After the cork is partially lifted, the secondary bayonet of the movable arm is buckled to the bottle mouth, and the handle on the other side continues to be lifted up. Then hold the cork and shake it gently, and you can take it out.

Finally, turn the wine knife counterclockwise to separate the cork and the wine knife, and the bottle is opened.

The above is the specific operation of using the seahorse knife to open wine, have you learned it?
