How to prefabricate cables with waterproof connectors?

Time:2022-04-06 Views:

The waterproof connector is a waterproof connector. For some industries, the waterproof connector is very necessary, which can protect the safety of the product and also a guarantee for personal safety. So how do waterproof connectors prefabricate cables, let's learn together.

XLPE insulated cables above 110kV mainly use metal sheaths to make the cables meet the waterproof requirements.

The biggest feature of the metal sheath is that it is completely impermeable, so the cable with the metal sheath has very good radial water resistance. The main types of metal sheaths are: hot-pressed aluminum sleeves, hot-pressed lead sleeves, welded corrugated aluminum sleeves, welded corrugated steel sleeves, and cold-drawn metal sleeves.

We provide use through cable assemblies, which are mainly divided into three cases. The power cable can provide the input power of the waterproof connector system. This power supply adopts the traditional wiring method, or installs a standard waterproof plug on the power supply end, and the other side can be prefabricated with a required socket connector.

The extension cable needs to be installed with an inner socket or plug at the end of the relevant cable in advance. The wiring cable needs to be equipped with a plug and a bare wire end for the waterproof plug to connect the final device.

Breakout connector: Waterproof plugs can be pre-installed on site for straight-through wiring of electrical user devices. All waterproof connectors are delivered with strain relief housings and are compatible with all common types of cables. On request, the watertight plugs are available with spring or screw connection technology.
