A bottle opener is indispensable for drinking wine, and there are many styles of bottle openers on the market, with different usages. In this video, we will show you some common wine openers.

The first thing to introduce is the seahorse knife. This wine knife is shaped like a seahorse, small and beautiful, and is favored by professional sommeliers. It is known as the "friend of waiters" and is the most classic and common bottle opener in the industry. The seahorse knife is mainly composed of a serrated knife, a spiral cone, a handle and a movable arm with 1-2 bayonet. We will introduce to you how to use it in the next issue.

The second is the Ah-So corkscrew, which is specially designed for old wine, so it is also called "old wine corkscrew". It consists of a handle and two iron pieces of different lengths, which are used to clamp the cork when opening the bottle to avoid damaging the cork.

The third is a butterfly bottle opener, which is similar in shape to a butterfly and consists of two liftable arms and a spiral cone. It is a more common bottle opener in life. The method of opening the bottle is to screw the screw cone into the cork, press down the arms on both sides, and finally use the lever principle to gradually pull out the cork.

The fourth one to introduce is the rabbit ear bottle opener, which consists of two handles similar to rabbit ears and a movable arm connected with a spiral cone. It is easy to operate and very labor-saving. Just fix the bottle mouth with the handle, then stick the screw cone into the cork, and finally lift the movable arm to open the bottle.

The fifth is the air pressure corkscrew, which can take out the cork completely by using the high pressure air into the bottle, which is efficient and labor-saving and not easy to break the cork. However, this type of corkscrew needs to be used with caution. Improper operation can cause the cork to pop out and hurt people. In addition, the high-pressure air that enters the bottle may also affect the flavor of the wine to a certain extent.

The last one is the electric corkscrew, put it on the neck of the bottle, press and hold the corresponding button to make the spiral cone plunge into the cork, and it only takes a few seconds to pull it out. This bottle opener realizes fully automatic operation, which is convenient and fast, and is suitable for occasions where a large number of wines need to be opened. But the design is immature, there is a risk of drilling through the cork, and it needs to be used with caution.
