A corkscrew is indispensable for drinking wine, and there are many styles of corkscrews on the market, and their usage is different. In this video, we will take you to see some common wine corkscrews.

The first thing I want to introduce is the seahorse knife. This wine knife is shaped like a seahorse. It is small and beautiful. It is favored by professional sommeliers. It is known as the "friend of the waiter" and is the most classic and common bottle opener in the industry. The hippocampus is mainly composed of a serrated knife, a spiral cone, a handle and a movable arm with 1-2 bayonet. We will introduce how to use it in the next issue.

The second is the Ah-So corkscrew. This corkscrew is specially designed for old wine, so it is also called "old wine corkscrew". It consists of a handle and two iron pieces of different lengths. The iron pieces are used to clamp the cork when opening the bottle to avoid damage to the cork.

The third is a butterfly-shaped corkscrew. Its shape is similar to that of a butterfly. It consists of two liftable arms and a spiral cone. It is a more common corkscrew in life. Its method of opening the bottle is to screw the screw cone into the cork, press down the arms on both sides, and finally pull out the cork gradually using the principle of leverage.

The fourth one to introduce is the rabbit ear bottle opener, which consists of two handles similar to rabbit ears and a movable arm connected to a spiral cone. It is simple to operate and very labor-saving. Just fix the mouth of the bottle with the handle, then plunge the spiral cone into the cork, and finally lift the movable arm to open the bottle.

The fifth is a pneumatic bottle opener, which can take out the cork completely by using the high-pressure air blown into the bottle, which is efficient and labor-saving, and it is not easy to break the cork. But this kind of corkscrew needs to be used with caution, improper operation will cause the cork to pop out and hurt people. In addition, the high-pressure air entering the bottle may also affect the flavor of the wine to a certain extent.

The last one is the electric bottle opener, aim it at the bottleneck and insert it, press and hold the corresponding button to make the spiral cone plunge into the cork, and it only takes a few seconds to pull it up. This corkscrew realizes fully automated operation, is convenient and fast, and is suitable for occasions where a large amount of wine needs to be opened. However, the design is still immature, there is a risk of drilling through the cork, and it needs to be used with caution.
